The 13th Annual Swim for Life on Maryland's Eastern Shore is set for:

Date: Saturday, June 19, 2004 9:00AM

Location: on the Chester River at Rolph's Wharf outside Chestertown, Maryland.

Course: There will be 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mile swims on the Chester River starting and finishing at Rolph's Wharf. Swimmers will follow courses downriver half of their distance, then turn and return upriver for the other half. Currents should be with the swimmers in both directions.

Buoys: There will be orange inflatable buoys to mark the course.

Boat Support: There will be kayaks and support boats and a public safety and rescue team.

Registration: Every participant must register by 8:30 a.m. At registration, participants must select their wave: 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 miles, and then complete a form, sign a waiver, turn in at least $100, and be body marked and capped according to their wave selection.

Race Day Breakfast and Lunch: On Saturday, June 19, 2004, there will be a free breakfast at 6:30 a.m., opening ceremonies at 8:30 a.m. and a post-swim free picnic celebration at 12:00 noon. Musical entertainment will be provided by the band, Bittersweet.
